Action Officer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Receive, process, and respond to multiple internal and external taskers daily, coordinating and following up with NA-24 program offices, staff, and other NNSA program offices as necessary. Serve as primary liaison to various Committee’s and Organizations as necessary. Assist with coordinating NA-24’s responses on actions or request and assist in researching data in response to inquiries.  Assist with editing input for consistency in NA-24 messaging and strategy. Serve as NA-24 liaison for high-level meetings and briefings. Produce read aheads in a timely manner, generate talking points, create policy papers, etc. Prepare, or support the preparation of, required documentation, including briefings, background papers, and talking points, for meetings and trips of NA-24, NNSA, and DOE senior leadership. Conduct, or support the conduct of, tracking requirements for internal meeting preparation and action follow-ups.  Tasks may include scheduling meetings, developing agendas, preparing briefings, booking conference rooms, and maintaining an organized filing system. As needed, provide surge support to NA-24 staff members on a variety of tasks, not limited to the primary responsibilities noted above. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance Minimum 2 years professional experience Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Must be self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented Must be able to manage the workload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment Must be able to meet or exceed short turnaround deadlines Experience with working collaboratively with senior management Time management, problem solving, and organizational skills are critical Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s preferred DOE Q clearance - current and active Minimum 4 years professional experience

Location: This is a full-time onsite position in Washington, DC however telework options may be available with a requirement to be in the office at least three days a week.

SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
