Job Summary
*This is an on-site position
This position is responsible for the senior adult programs (AOA programs) and ensuring the program goals and objectives are met. Additionally, this role provides day-to-day direction and supervision to all areas of the senior wellness, recreational, and social programs.

Hiring Range: $20.00 - $xx/hour DOE
Responsibilities
+ Establish new program activities and expand program(s) within the community in accordance with the Association and Branch strategic plans related to area of focus.
+ Plans and executes Active Older Adult (AOA) Programming including Clubs, Workshops, Excursions and Activities.
+ Oversees AOA-Specific Sports or Leagues (i.e., Pickleball, Table Tennis, Men's Over 50 Basketball, etc.)
+ Facilitates Chronic Disease Programs for the Active Older Adult population, including Pedaling for Parkinson’s, Enhance Fitness, Adaptive Programs, etc.
+ Act as liaison to our Silver & Fit, Renew Active and Senior members, including implementing a touch point program to encourage branch usage.
+ Assists in creating Personalized Wellness Plans for AOA members.
+ Plans and executes an AOA Equipment Orientation.
+ Encourages member involvement and identifies potential volunteers.
+ Other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is an on-site position at one of the 13 YMCA Branches.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a part-time, on-site position. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Qualifications
+ Strong customer service skills, responding to multiple inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
+ Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
+ Knowledge of standard office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems.
+ Current state approved first aid certification. *
+ Current state approved CPR or Professional Rescuer certification. *
+ Ability to set up, move, and store equipment.
+ Working knowledge of health and fitness programs and philosophies.
+ This is a safety-sensitive role that requires transporting clients as an "authorized driver" for the Y. This offer is contingent upon meeting the following conditions: Being 21+, having a valid driver's license for at least three years and possessing a driving record that meets Y standards (no more than two moving violations within the last three years, no significant incidents such as reckless driving, DUI/DWI, no tickets 20+ miles above the speed limit etc. within the last 5 years). You must also pass a drug screen that will test for impairing substances, including marijuana.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
+ One or more years related experience working with Active Older Adult populations preferred.
+ Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
*Within 60 days of employment or at first available training, may be required at hire.
