We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Activities Assistant. What you’ll be doing: You will assist the Activities Coordinator implement therapeutic activity and life enrichment programs in the facility. You will support volunteers and lead holistically designed activity programs that support person centered care philosophy and a high level of care. What you’ll be doing: Demonstrate PRS Core Values—excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration—in all activities and interactions with residents and staff. Advocate for resident rights by ensuring that processes, operations, and decisions prioritize their well-being and best interests. Plan and lead a variety of individualized and group activities, such as social events, arts and crafts, motor skills exercises, sensory stimulation, outdoor activities, and self-care support. Coordinate and assist with community-wide events, collaborating with external organizations to enhance resident experiences. Manage activity records, maintain schedules and supplies, and provide direct resident care when needed, while ensuring all spaces are tidy and well-organized. Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 /hr DOE About you: Experience in a senior living facility, recreation therapy, or a related field is preferred. Current and valid CPR/AED and First Aid certification is preferred. Working knowledge in gerontology, dementia, physiology and anatomy, and/or recreation therapy. Communication skills, interpersonal skills, customer service skills, team building skills, and/or leadership skills.
