Fellowship Square Tucson, a non-for-profit Christian Care Community, is seeking an energetic, creative and organized Assisted Living Activities Coordinator to be part of our Christian Care Family. We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to enriching the lives of our Assisted Living residents through events, excursions and activities while helping to preserve their dignity and quality of life.

This position plans and executes events, activities, classes, etc. for our assisted living residents that encourages and promotes health, wellness and a positive living experience of our residents while also promoting Fellowship Square and our Christian Care Inc. philosophy and lifestyle.

Responsibilities Coordinate in house events. Plan, physically set-up, and host in-house events, parties and classes, including coordination with other departments, entertainers, etc.Respond to day-to-day needs and concerns of residents that wish to be involved in scheduled activities at Fellowship Square Assisted Living. Maintain resident reservations and activity sign up records through coordination of sign up list and telephone correspondence. Follow up with residents by phone or personally to confirm activity sign up and reservations. Serve as a resource to residents on details and procedures regarding upcoming activity events and schedule.Create monthly newsletter for residents.Disseminate activity schedules to residents, including monthly event postings and newsletters. Welcome new residents through personal visits.Encourage resident participation in activities and social gatherings.Maintain connection with residents through regular visits.Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm attitude when visiting with staff and residents. Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure resident rights are protected. Assist Administrative Assistant in the coordination of transportation needs of residents. Promote the Christian Care entities to the residents and public in a positive manner.Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the Activities Director and Executive Director. Qualifications Minimum of two year’s prior experience in planning activities, and executing planned events required.Be knowledgeable in evaluating residents’ needs, wants and interests.Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and able to speak in front of groups.Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.Experience with recreational and social programs a plus. Experience in working with seniors, particularly in an assisted living setting a plus.Must have TB test clearance not older than six (6) months or received within seven (7) days of employment and maintain current CPR/1st Aid certification.Must have ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with others, whether involved with residents, their families or public at large.Have a positive attitude with abundant enthusiasm.Computer experience with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Publisher required and be knowledgeable in administrative practices.Strong organizational skills with ability to follow-up, be detailed oriented and structured.
