Childhelp is a psychiatric residential treatment facility that specializes in the treatment of children aged 5-14 with mild to severe trauma or neglect, psychiatric disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Our unique location on a 270-acre farm provides a nurturing treatment setting with a variety of therapy resources. We bring the light of love and healing into the lives of countless abused and neglected children, and those suffering from psychiatric and behavioral disorders. Pay: Starting at $20 an hour based on experience, education and certifications.

What you will do: As the Activities Coordinator you will oversee the planning and facilitation of group activities. You would be facilitating team sports activities, skills-based groups, as well as outdoor activities to include but not limited to hiking, fishing, and adventure/ropes courses. You will be responsible for providing coordination, structure, and accountability to both on-site and off-grounds activities. During the summer months our Activities Coordinator would take part in being a certified lifeguard for our on-campus pool. When needed you would have to be willing to assist in supervision of children within the cottages.
To be considered you should: Be at least 21 years of age ~ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred ~ 1 year of activities coordinator experience ~ Lifeguard Certification and Ropes Course-Adventure Course certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification ~ 6 months experience working with children preferred (paid or volunteer) ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday 11 AM to 7 PM.
