We’re hiring an Activities Desk Clerk to Live. Work. Explore. at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon! Job Summary: Sell Grand Canyon National Park Lodges in-park activities and check-in guests with reservations for activities. The Details: Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round Pay: $15.75 per hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Grand Canyon South Rim? Responsibilities Sell in-park activities such as bus tours and mule rides. Check in guests for in-park activities including Phantom Ranch guests, mule riders and pre-paid bus tours. Provide accurate information to guests regarding company offered activities and services as well as general park information. Handle all transactions with expediency and accuracy using the activities desk software. Handle guest complaints with discretion, professionalism and courtesy. Do shift deposit ensuring accounts are balanced. Complete opening and closing side duties for each desk assignment. Work with the related areas, and businesses, on passenger counts for the various tours. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications One year of hotel front desk or high public contact experience. Good verbal communication skills with ability to interact with a very broad cross-section of guests. Proficiency in Windows based software products is required. One year of front desk computer software experience. One year of previous cash and credit card handling experience. Good attention to detail. Physical ability to experience and participate in activities sold by the company and their business partners. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
