GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:

Evaluates patient’s leisure lifestyle and provides goals and objectives directed at a therapeutically designed recreation/leisure oriented treatment which assists patients in attaining optimum level of functioning.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1 years' experience in working with the emotionally ill required Psychiatric Inpatient experience preferred Bachelor's Degree in Occupational, Recreational, Activities Therapy, or related field required American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification and first aid certification required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions Demonstrate knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable) Revenue Management: Ensure the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and provide clinical documentation Assess patient’s leisure preferences, limitations, social and ADL (Activities of Daily Living) functional abilities Utilize group and individual therapeutic, occupational, creative expressive or recreational techniques to obtain treatment goals Develop standards for activities program based on recognized therapeutic interventions Manage equipment and materials to support program
