Work where you matter. **You Belong at Avera:** Competitive pay, various shifts and career growth opportunities. **Avera Missouri River Health Center is currently seeking Activity Assistant LTC looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.** **Avera Ranked 1st in Nation for Long-Term Care Resident Experience** **Avera Named to Forbes' Best-in-State Employers List** **Learn more about the Avera St. Mary’s and Pierre community here: https://youtu.be/fwlkdE9PPWo** **Job Summary** + The Activity assistant must be able to follow developed plans of care for residents or patients. + Most of the job will be spent in direct resident contact by transporting residents to their destinations and visiting any SSB patients as directed by the Activity Coordinator or the Director of Residential care. + The assistant will work closely with volunteers and pastoral care staff. + The assistant will also attend monthly all staff meetings and all in-services as directed. **Education and Training:** + A minimum of high school education or GED required for full-time and part-time positions. + Valid driver’s license required. + Ten (10) hour dining assistant course required. (Offered on-site) + Experience in the field of gerontology is preferred. + Nurse aide certification preferred. **Work Schedule** + 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, occasional weekends; PRN (as needed) **Pay** The hourly range for this position is listed below.
