SUMMARY OF JOB Assesses residents' level of physical, cognitive and psychosocial functioning. Identifies residents' needs according to his/her choices, abilities, strengths and limitations for group and independent participation in meaningful and therapeutic programming and quality interaction. Programming promotes positive outcomes and contributes to attaining and maintaining highest practicable quality of life. Participates in documentation and is a member of the IDC Team. Recognizes the value of each person as an individual. Supports and Promotes Resident strengths and abilities, capacity for social contribution, unique values, preferences, living habits and autonomy of choice. Embraces a vision of aging that is meaningful and relationship based. RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS Certified or Certification Eligible for Activity Professional (National Certification Council of Activity Professionals - NCCAP) or, Degree or experioence in Therapeutic Recreation, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or 2 years work experience in Geriatric Care or related field.
