The Painesville plant is one of Lubrizol’s larger facilities in the area, just outside of Cleveland, OH. What You'll Do:
The Operation Unit Maintenance Coordinator Works with operations leadership and functional interfaces to identify, prioritize, and schedule unit tasks and activities. Activity coordination covers round-the-clock unit activities and tasks. This role includes the role of Gate Keeper in the Maintenance Work Process. Provides and assigns a prioritized, value-added schedule of unit tasks and activities, including timing and unit preparation for maintenance work.
What We’re Looking For:
Ensures tasks and requests are value-assessed and align with unit objectives. Develops the resource loaded task and activity list to assist with the process of determining optimum staffing. Owns and updates the unit or area consolidated task and activity list. Updates and adjusts the task list to schedule plant activities. Follows the Maintenance Work Process and is the primary interface between operations and maintenance. Owner of the unit maintenance budget. Ensures maintenance work requests are clearly defined, value-assessed, and prioritized according to the Maintenance Work Process requirements. Works with the Maintenance Coordinator to remove barriers for crafts, supporting safe, efficient, reliable repairs. Determines operational resources, planning, preparation, and procedural requirements for task and activity requests, including operating discipline adequacy. Ensures task value analysis is conducted annually on all plant tasks for unit alignment. Builds and maintains a prioritized list of opportunistic work (Priority 4) for execution during an unplanned short stop, outage or turnaround. Ensures that startup and shutdown activities are included in the consolidated list of tasks and activities. Works with operations to ensure that all jobs on the schedule for next day for maintenance are ready (LOTO & Permitting). Reviews work status with service providers and originators. Acts as the focal point for service requests that will be externally supplied for operation tasks within the unit. Identifies repeat jobs and works with Maintenance to escalate for support prior to making the repairs (Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technologist, etc.).
Skills That Make a Difference:
High School Diploma 10 years operational experience within a system unit within a chemical plant Budget management/oversight experience Critical thinking skills for prioritizing information/tasks to develop short- and long-term maintenance schedules Self-driven with the ability to collaborate with various working groups Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, & SharePoint)Considered a Plus:
Experience as a shift leader within a chemical plantWorking Conditions:
Schedule will be a 40 hour week, 5, 8hr days. Eligible for flextime: 5x8hrs week 1,4x10 week 2, or 4x9hrs and 1x4hr weekly.
Flexible start and end time between 5:30 and 6:30am. Earliest end time 2:00 pm Must be willing/able to work in a plant environment and occasionally outdoors in inclement weather. Willing/able to work off hours/weekends, as required.
