You will have opportunity to contribute to the financial success of the company by providing valuable insights and recommendations. **What’s in it for you:** + Growth opportunities to uplevel your career + A people-centric culture embracing and celebrating diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences within our team + Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits focused on well-being + An opportunity to shape the future of health care by joining a team recognized as a **Best Place to Work For in the NY Capital District** , one of **the Best Companies to Work For in New York** , and an **Inclusive Workplace** . **Qualifications you’ll bring:** + Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field with emphasis on coursework that supports analytical problem solving skills + 5+ years related experience required + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python). + Knowledge of actuarial concepts and methodologies. + Excellent communication and presentation skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. + Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. + Strong organizational and time management skills. + Understanding of hospital, physician and ancillary payment methodologies. + Demonstrated desire to innovate and drive process improvements. + Knowledge of healthcare industry and network contracting is a plus. + SQL Coding + Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel + Curiosity to foster innovation and pave the way for growth + Humility to play as a team + Commitment to being the difference for our customers in every interaction **Your key responsibilities:** + Support the functions/tasks of the Actuarial Department in an advanced capacity as well as in a mentor / team lead role. + Proactively mentor and guide other employees both within the actuarial team as well as in interactions with other areas of the company as appropriate. + Be directly involved in strategic decisions for hospital negotiations with senior leadership and will help inform those decisions. + Be highly knowledgeable in both Facility and Physician modeling. + Give guidance and assist fellow analysts regarding both types of models. + Be the point person on all high value contract negotiations, including Facility models with $25M in claims or more and Physician models with $5M in claims or more. + Analyze network contracts to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data related to network contracts. + Develop and maintain actuarial models and tools to support contract analysis. + Conduct cost and utilization analysis to evaluate the financial impact of network contracts. + Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. + Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in network contract analytics. + Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to optimize network contracts. + Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. + Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the network contract analytics department. + Other duties as assigned by leadership. + Contribute to our humble pursuit of excellence by performing various responsibilities that may arise, reflecting our collective goal of enhancing healthcare delivery and being the difference for the customer. **Where you’ll be:** Hybrid - Schenectady, NY **Pay Transparency** MVP Health Care is committed to providing competitive employee compensation and benefits packages.
