Actuarial Analyst

Our client, a respected and well-established insurance provider in Alberta, is seeking an experienced actuary with specialized expertise in no-fault insurance rating. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Alberta’s ongoing auto insurance reform.
The client has a branch office in downtown Vancouver, and this role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with the Director of Actuarial on the no-fault insurance reform initiativeAnalyze insurance rates and rating procedures for both personal and commercial linesPrepare detailed reports and presentations for the executive management teamDevelop, maintain, and enhance effective rating systemsCollect and analyze data to support the company’s reinsurance programQualifications:Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industryProven experience with no-fault insurance rating (required)Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, R, and VBAACAS or FCAS designation is an assetWillingness to travel occasionally to Edmonton as neededBenefits & Perks:Salary: $90,000 to $145,000 (flexible)Extra day off every 4 weeks Dental and medical benefits Hybrid opportunity in downtown Vancouver
