Actuarial Analyst

What the day will look like Aon Consulting, Inc. seeks an Actuarial Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts to perform health and benefits actuarial analysis. Conduct underwriting analyses based on plan history and changes in risk to negotiate insurance rates. Execute actuarial analysis for group benefits and group insurance solutions. Analyze flexible benefit pricing. Conduct actuarial analysis for insurance concepts, including reserving and forecasting of future costs and liabilities. Perform rate reviews and assist with negotiating renewal ratings and prepare quarterly documents for renewals and financial reports. Analyze and project savings and costs related to changes to insurance plans and market forces. Conduct Actuarial Value modeling and Dental Relative Value modeling. Review group insurance contracts, agreements, and employee booklets. Assist in analytic projects, including pooling risk simulations and drugs utilization reviews. Perform financial analysis of data. Perform data collection and analysis, feasibility studies, and financial modeling related to group insurance products. Ensure insurance compliance with RxDC and Medical Part D creditable coverage. Use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to analyze and report on actuarial data. Create actuarial communications and reports to summarize findings, observations, and outcomes of analysis performed. Local telecommuting available up to 2 days per week. Annual salary: $89,648 - $136,100. Job Location: 53 State Street, Boston, MA 02109 Skills and experience that will lead to success Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or a related field plus one year of actuarial analysis experience. Must have at least one year of experience in each of the following: 1. Conducting actuarial analysis for insurance concepts, including reserving and forecasting of future costs and liabilities; 2. Analyzing and projecting savings and costs related to changes to insurance plans and market forces; 3. Using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to analyze and report on actuarial data; 4. Performing data collection and analysis, feasibility studies, and financial modeling related to group insurance products; and 5. Creating actuarial communications and reports to summarize findings, observations, and outcomes of analysis performed.
