An opportunity has arisen for an Actuarial Consultant to join Marsh within our Advisory team, based in Sydney.
 

The position will prepare data, use statistical models and present results in order to help clients make informed, data driven decisions. Creating and developing statistical tools to provide innovative analytical solutions.
 

Types of projects include:

Actuarial reservingStochastic loss modellingTechnical pricingRisk finance optimization and strategic review of insurance programLimit validation reviewsAlternative risk transfer feasibility reviews.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.


We will count on you to:
 

Develop and apply modelling skillsSupport lead consultants on delivery of client engagementsCommunicate key insights to clients and internal stakeholdersBuild and manage trusted client relationshipsBuild advanced analytical models in programming languages such as R & PythonIdentify opportunities to improve business outcomes.



Required skills, qualifications and experience: 

Degree qualification in a related field e.g. Actuarial Studies, Data Science, Statistics or other relevant technical fieldRelevant Actuarial working experience within the financial services sectorWell-rounded and ability to communicate effectivelyElementary programming and statistical modelling experience (including experience with R & Python).
