The actuarial intern will analyze different aspects of the CAD product portfolio, consisting of three main products: Equipment Breakdown, Renewable Energy and Cyber Insurance.
The candidate will assist in monitoring the performance of the existing book of business and will become involved in new business initiatives when needed. The actuarial intern will collaborate with other CAD team members, Global Underwriting staff and members of the Financial Solutions team to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
Lastly, the actuarial intern will assist in setting strategy to grow the CAD product lines in accordance with desired product mix and growth targets.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Mathematics or StatisticsSeeking current sophomores, juniors and seniorsSuccessful completion of at least one Casualty Actuarial Society or Society of Actuaries exam preferredProven analytical ability, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExperience with Microsoft Excel is requiredFamiliarity with at least one coding language (VBA, SQL, R, Python, etc.) preferredComfortable with manipulation and analysis of datasetsExceptional communication skillsCandidate has the ability to work independently and has a pro-active mindset
