Actuarial Pricing Analyst

How you will create an impact As an Actuarial Pricing Analyst you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of product lines within one of the largest Lloyd’s Syndicates. This is a fantastic role for a bright, enthusiastic Analyst with a few years post-grad experience to take that next step in their actuarial career. Some of the key responsibilities include: + Work across a variety of lines of business to support our Underwriters in developing profitable portfolios. + Perform and develop individual risk pricing to support Underwriters with assessing particularly large or complex accounts. + Maintain and enhance existing pricing models, including the transition of Excel models into a Python based platform. + Perform periodic recalibration of pricing models and tools to reflect the current year’s business plan. + Assist in the collection and research of pricing data, and then in the development of analysis and reporting of pricing data. + Provide actuarial support for business initiatives. + Evolve pricing standards as per market requirements (eg: Lloyd’s and AIG standards). + Incorporate feedback from internal reports on model usage / portfolio analytics to determine model updates. + Support pricing modernisation initiatives. + Assist underwriters in the development of the Underwriting strategy underlying their annual business plan. + Assist in the development of the SBF and SCR. + Assistance with Management Information and Reporting. What you’ll need to succeed + Science or Maths degree (minimum 2:1). + A Level Maths. + Pricing experience preferable. + Data manipulation and technical modelling skills. + Strong skills in using spreadsheets and databases. + Knowledge of programming (eg: R, Python). + Making good progress with Actuarial Exams.
