Position Summary

This position is responsible for supporting pricing and risk management decisions for select clients within the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) segment.. Collaborate with internal Finance, Sales, and Underwriting business partners as well as external PEOs, consultants, and brokers to provide sound risk management advice. Anticipate and recognize matters that materially affect financial results and make sound, unbiased recommendations on these matters.Influence PEOs, consultants, and brokers to utilize best practice models, underwriting, and risk management to protect Aetna's financial integrityCalculate and analyze annual renewal rate increases for each PEO and optimize the recommended strategy to allocate the large group rate increase to the individual client levelConduct ad-hoc analysis of performance drivers and recommend corrective actions


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree along with 3+ years relevant work experience in actuarial or related fieldsASA or FSAExperience in creating and delivering claim and/or performance reportingStrong understanding of employer-sponsored medical insuranceUnderstanding of SQL or similar languages to query and manipulate dataStrong Communication skills for internal collaboration and external customer interactions


Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of PEO industry and dynamicsKnowledge of Small Group and Large Group distinctions and nuancesKnowledge of medical underwriting


Education

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
