Your Role
To influence and support the profitable growth of the P&C division by actively supporting the operational business teams and contributing to the future strategic development of the Casualty and Financial Lines portfolios.

Your Responsibilities 

Provide high quality and timely actuarial advice to the P&C Commercial Fire and Strata management teams and the Senior P&C Actuaries and Chief Actuary. Lead and perform portfolio reviews. Present to a wide range of internal stakeholders including senior management and front line business and helping to formula business strategy. Lead and perform pricing projects and rating algorithm development for key portfolios Lead and perform pricing and performance reviews for key scheme and portfolio opportunities Lead and perform portfolio monitoring projects, including enhancement of the monitoring framework sophistication.  Promote innovation through constantly improving current processes with an automation focus.

Your Skills & Experience

Qualified actuary with minimum 5 years of experience in general insurance.Strong business knowledge and communication capabilitiesSolid foundation in applying advanced statistical and data mining techniques to solving business problemsAbility to manage competing projects and meet deadlinesAbility to work with key internal and external stakeholders on all projectsExperience with SQL, Python or R; EMBLEM, RADAR highly desirable
