Acuity Adaptable ICU Nurse
Overview

As our Acuity Adaptable ICU Nurse at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center, you will help patients with varying acuity levels by providing exceptional care, monitoring their condition, administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and ensuring that patients receive the necessary care and support to achieve optimal outcomes. Every day you will work in various units, such as ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg, providing exceptional care to patients with varying acuity levels. You will be expected to monitor and manage patients, perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, maintain accurate medical records, and provide education and support to patients and their families. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role

This is the opportunity for cross training into our other service lines, if interested (PCU, PEDS) and get exposure to ICU patients while working in MCU caring for MST patients. You have opportunities to learn and grow (Charge RN, Resource RN, Precepting, Committee Participation No silos, we work as one team with different specialties, excellent teamwork among our team members and we have an active Unit Base Practice Council who influence RN/NA practice, quality, and patient experience.

Responsibilities

We are offering  $10K in relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Provides assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients from adolescent to geriatric.Handles patients with more complex situations with assistance and supervision.Assists with managing patient care administered by other members of the nursing staff.Assumes responsibilities of Primary Nurse and Team Leader.
Qualifications

Minimum:

Associate degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent.9 months RN experience.Valid compact state or Arizona RN license.American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider.Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing EKG test or successfully completing basic EKG class/modules within six months of position.

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent.One year of pediatric RN experience.American Heart Association Advanced Pediatric Life Support
