ADAS Platform Diagnostics Systems Engineering
**Job Description** **Work Arrangement:** Hybrid: - This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Markham Elevation Centre or Oshawa Elevation Centre three times per week, at minimum. **Introduction** System Engineers are responsible for partitioning and allocating product, feature and system functionality to implementation teams. Safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance are factors considered in system design with the goal of optimizing performance, design, testability, and deployability. System engineers identify use cases, define functional technical requirements, enable robust implementation designs, and ensure built-in quality with test definition and traceability. **Responsibilities** + Define integrity-related content for both SOC and MCU sides of solution. + Verify controller software development process and integration to meet requirement set. + Power up and down, reprogramming, service, system bring-up; sensor integration and system configuration + Define required diagnostic monitors to detect hardware faults and data integrity issues. Assign diagnostic content to the correct location in the system and ensure its delivery through internal and supplier software development. + Communicate information to and from internal organizations, interface with controller and chip hardware suppliers. **Additional Job Description** **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical degree + Familiarity with computer hardware, I/O, communications in automotive or non-automotive applications. + Exposure to integrity-based diagnostic design principles, FMEA and systems thinking + Minimum of 4-6 years of job-related experience in requirements development, software development, integration, verification or testing, or implementing ISO 26262 and ASIL standards. + Experience with programming languages (C/C++) and operating systems (Linux) **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science + Knowledge of OBD systems + Experience with Automated Driving Systems + DFMEA training and DFSS Certification + Software Controls/wiring and electronic validation experience + Analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult **Benefits Overview:** The goal of the General Motors of Canada total rewards program is to support the health and well-being of you and your family.
