Gundersen Health System is seeking a casual/on-call Addiction Counselor to help with addiction consults in the hospital setting. What you will do:

Work every other weekend (Sat/Sun), approximately 8am to 4:30pm; opportunity for additional hours may be available

Meet with patients in the hospital setting who have had an addiction consult placed. Complete a chart review and ASAM assessment, provide recommendations, document in electronic medical record, provide resources, and collaborate with the medical team.

What you need:

Minimum of associate degree in Behavioral Health 

3-4 years experience in assessment and counseling of individuals and groups with substance use disorders

Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) in the state of Wisconsin; unable to accept SAC-IT

This position is credentialed

Ideal candidate will: 

Be able to build rapport easily with patients

Have the ability to prioritize

Easily navigate computer documentation

Have the ability to walk long distances
