disorder treatment facility in Windham CT The Ridge Recovery Center offers personalized paths to recovery in a serene and tranquil setting Job SummaryThe Medical Navigator will work with and assist other professional clinical and medical staff in providing day to day basic patient care to individuals with substance use disorders The Medical Navigator provides safe patient care and administrative duties as needed to assist clients in achieving established outcomes by collecting data points eg vital signs and lab testing and other information to be utilized in assessment Job ResponsibilitiesProcess and transition clients through admissions including completion of all required documentation Meet with clientrsquos family obtaining information related to clientrsquos history as it pertains to admissionCoordinate with all admission related staff ensuring expediency of client admission including Utilization Review Nursing Admission Specialists and staff in related departmentsObtain and observe urine drug screens take client vitals and report abnormal valuestrends to staff nurse Complete safety checks throughout the clients stayOrient clients to the rules and regulations for clients at Rushford Provide basic counseling to help decrease the client anxiety and assure continuity of careManage clientsrsquo discharge by ensuring all property is returned forms are signed and documentation is completeRun non clinical groupsMaintain supplies by managing inventory and ordering as needed Complete audits as neededServes as a liaison between Rushford and outside populationpreferredFamiliarity with Alcoholic or Narcotics Anonymous Step ProgrampreferredObtain CPR certification within six months of employment AED Training within six months of employmentAll required credentials to be maintained throughout employmentOne year of keyboarding and computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office productsDemonstrated organizational and multi tasking skillsGood interpersonalwritten communication skillsAbility to perform duties with minimal directionCustomer Service and detail orientedMaintain confidentiality and professionalism at all timesAble to
