Position Information Class Code: M013C Grade: GS09 FLSA Status: EXEMPT Salary Range: $50,222.00 - $80,105.00 Summary The Spinal Cord Commission Client Services Administrator is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and monitoring a statewide spinal cord disabilities case management program. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Functions Supervises a large staff by interviewing and recommending for hire, assigning and reviewing work, training employees, resolving work problems, and evaluating the performance of incumbents. Oversees the case management activities for the work unit by assigning cases, reviewing referrals and authorization for services, approving and monitoring case service expenditures, and establishing work priorities. Conducts investigations of complaints filed by reviewing case documentation and narratives, discussing problems with client and case manager, and developing corrective action plan. Develops and recommends staff, material, and equipment needs for the program managed to contribute to the formulation and justification of budgetary requests. Coordinates the program operations with other state agencies, organizations, and health service institutions to coordinate service delivery and resolve problems. Counsels and advises staff on work policies, procedures, and guidelines and identifies problems and formulates possible solutions. Develops and recommends new and revised policies and procedures to respond to changes in program needs, objectives, and priorities. Performs other duties as assigned. Dimensions None Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of the principles and practices of organizational management. Knowledge of state budgeting and accounting procedures. Knowledge of laws, policies, and procedures pertaining to programs and case management activities for individuals with disabilities. Ability to plan work unit objectives and operational activities and to assign and direct the work of others. Ability to conduct and present expert testimony at hearings. Ability to estimate cost, time, manpower, equipment, and materials for projects. Ability to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services and recommend changes. Ability to coordinate case management activities with other health professionals and community resources. Minimum Qualifications The formal education equivalent of a master's degree in social work, counseling, rehabilitation science, counselor education or a related field; plus three years of experience in social service case management, counseling or a related field, including two years of experience in a supervisory capacity. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.
