About you and this role: You will act as a key Product Stewardship expert for the Acrylic Adhesives envelope that forms part of the broader Coatings & Performance Monomers business. Your job will require you to support stewardship in the Americas region, including a strong focus on supporting External Manufacturers in that region. You will act as an interface between internal stakeholders within the business value chain partners to ensure a positive experience to our customers and you will be required to collaborate closely with functional partners (such as, Hazard Communications, Toxicology and Risk Assessment, Marketing and Commercial, Quality, Supply chain and Customer Service) to meet process and functional objectives. This role will also include strong interactions with global Research & Development teams, which are focused in Collegeville, PA. You will use conceptual knowledge and experience to complete a range of assignments and tasks, in an independent manner. Responsibilities: + Conducts and facilitates Risk Based Product Characterization + Conducts targeted Business Risk Reviews (BRRs) for run the business activities + Coordinates the development of materials to support Customer Education and Assessment/Review programs + Reviews and approves product literature for appropriate EH&S content + Completes compliance-related customer inquiries within timelines given in the Customer Experience (Cx) framework + Ensures chemical regulations are met for each product + Responsible for execution of key work processes (i.e. Business Risk Review, Management of Change, Change Management Tool request, etc.) and training the business on Product Stewardship work processes + Responsible for execution of business Product Stewardship Program + Identifies gaps in business product stewardship performance and assists in the yearly business product stewardship self-assessments + Assists in identifying and investigating customer EH&S incidents + Maintains a network of product safety resources to engage for compliance and risk management activities + Gains a thorough understanding of product hazards, product end-use applications (both supported and not supported) and existing product risk characterizations to enable appropriate risk management + Supports business sustainability goals + Identifies and reports events that qualify for the Product Stewardship Metric Skills, knowledge, and abilities: + PC skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint) + Strong communication skills: written, verbal and presentation skills + Strong problem solving and analysis skills + Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills + Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and assess priorities effectively + Consistently exhibits company values in all interactions with colleagues and customers Qualifications: + A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant + A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process Preferred skills: + A minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Stewardship or a similar function in EH&S, Supply Chain or Tech Center + Experience with Acrylic Adhesive products and related regulations + A degree in Natural Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline Note: Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
