We offer a BACB-approved course sequence for students who are seeking the BCBA, and will also offer students eligibility for the New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst credential. The successful candidate will be expected to support our growing student population through teaching, advising, collaborating on research initiatives, and will work in collaboration with other programs within the department.
ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but not limited to the following:
Teach a minimum of one graduate level courses in MS and Adv. Certificate programsPrepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handoutsBe prompt and accurate in the recording and reporting of student dataSupport students’ learning goals by:Focusing on student learning outcomesTaking into account the needs and abilities of the studentsBecoming familiar with academic and social supportMaking reasonable provisions to accommodate individual differencesMaintaining the academic integrity of the collegeBeing available to assist students in achieving their learning goals QualificationsEducation, Preparation, and Training
Doctoral degree in in behavior analysis, education, or psychology. Candidates with degrees in education or psychology should have an academic concentration in Behavior AnalysisA BCBA or BCBA-D with supervision training is required as well as New York LBA license or license eligibilityExperience teaching applied behavior analysis at the graduate levelKnowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Competence in technology as an educational toolA commitment to work in multicultural and urban education settings Updates and uses relevant knowledgeExcellent interpersonal skills; communicating with supervisors, peers, and students Excellent organization skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookSPSS skills essential, data analysis knowledge in Excel a plusCANVAS educational platformInternet journal library and Google Scholar search experienceTravel
