Location: Batavia, NY Category: Adjunct Posted On: Wed May 29 2024 Job Description: Genesee Community College is seeking adjunct instructor(s) to teach the following course(s) for the Fall 2024 semester. ART 104 - Western Art History 2: Course surveys history of western art from CE 1500 to present, and compares and contrasts with the art of earlier periods. Introduces the distinctive features of art produced by western civilization and relates its development to that of other regions. These positions will require the incumbent(s) to provide in person, on campus instruction. Class days and hours are anticipated to be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00am-9:20am. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and learning, adaptability, a positive attitude and a willingness to embrace technology. This person will strive to create and maintain personal connections with students and the college community. They must be an approachable, enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic who contributes to Genesee's supportive community, dedicated to effective innovative strategies for student success. Must demonstrate commitment to diversity and inclusion as well as the ability to establish and maintain a positive learning environment. Incumbent must be mindful of and develop solutions that can accommodate all individuals to use GCC facilities without barriers, both digitally and physically. Job Requirements: Master's Degree in arts with graduate credits in Art History is required. Additional Information: SALARY & CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Fall classes begin August 26, 2024. This position pays a rate of $825 per contact or credit hour.
