Description/Job Summary
This is a foundation course which considers drawing from both the naturalistic and creative approaches. Line, form, proportion, composition, color, texture, and perspective are applied in a number of media to varied subject matter, including still life, interior, landscape and the figure. All content is based on the instructor's discretion.
Tuesday/Thursday 11:00 am-12:15 pm
Responsibilities/Duties
Overview of the Position:
+ Facilitate instruction through the use of slides, lectures, discussion, gallery and museum visitations, written and appropriate art studio projects.
+ Develop Curriculum
+ Assess and grade students' work in a timely and professional manner
+ Participate in Student Learning Outcomes Assessment (SLOA) Process
+ Attend Professional Development workshops and trainings
+ Communicate effectively with students as well as the office of English, Humanities, Visual and Performing Arts
Required Qualifications
+ Master's Degree in Fine Arts or related field
Preferred Qualifications
+ Two(2) or three (3) years of teaching experience at a community college
