Position Title Adjunct Faculty Chemistry Department Future Opportunities Department Chemistry Department Position Category Adjunct About CCRI Job Summary CCRIs Department of Chemistry invites applicants for future adjunct positions This posting is not for an immediate vacancy but for upcoming opportunities By applying you will be placed in a pool of candidates who will be reviewed when a suitable position becomes available SUBJECTS Introductory chemistry General chemistry Organic chemistry Chemical technology Duties and Responsibilities Teach lectures in various chemistry courses including introductory chemistry general chemistry organic chemistry andor chemical technology Lectures will typically be in person at the Warwick Lincoln Newport or Providence campus although there may be opportunities for distance learning lectures Teach laboratory sections of introductory chemistry general chemistry organic chemistry andor chemical technology and maintain a safe laboratory environment for students and staff Grade applicable class and lab work Use Blackboard Learning Management System to upload work and grades for class Optionally participate in departmental and college wide meetings Commitment to CCRIs Mission Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college Work collaboratively with others in a diverse and inclusive environment Work collaboratively in a diverse inclusive and student centered environment with students of various learning styles cultures identities and life experiences Instructional Skills Plan develop present and modify courses from proposal to syllabus to delivery classroom hybrid or online to assessment to evaluation Teach assigned courses Convey knowledge and skills effectively to students Continue professional development as an educator Use advanced technologies to expand student resources and learning opportunities Assess student learning according to best practices in measurement of student performance objectives and outcomes Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in pedagogical approaches to a diverse population of students and peers Minimum Requirements Masters degree or higher in a related field Competencies Reports To Chemistry Department Campus Location Multi Campus Locations Full timePart time Part Time Shift Days and Additional Work Schedule Information Work Schedule One Semester Benefits SalaryHourly Rate Additional Salary Information Licenses Tools and Equipment Environmental Conditions Desired Start Date Position End Date if temporary or grant
