Position Title Adjunct Faculty Graphic Design Department Art Department Position Category Adjunct About CCRI The Community College of Rhode Island is New Englands largest community college and a nationally recognized leader in catalyzing student success and achievement for recent high school graduates and returning adults alike We provide affordable open access to higher education and we deliver on our mission to offer all students the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for intellectual professional and personal growthDiversity is our strength We champion equity and we celebrate support and thrive on the diverse experiences backgrounds and perspectives that are represented across our four campuses We strive to hire and retain culturally competent faculty and staff whose demographics are reflective of our diverse student body To learn more about our employees values and what it means to work here learn about our Guiding Principles here Job Summary CCRIs Department of Art Art History and Design invites applicants for future adjunct positions Course availability varies and is subject to experience Please indicate all subjects of interest SUBJECTS Graphic Design Duties and Responsibilities Commitment to CCRIs Mission Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college Work collaboratively with others in a diverse and inclusive environment Work collaboratively in a diverse inclusive and student centered environment with students of various learning styles cultures identities and life experiences Instructional Skills Plan develop present and modify courses from proposal to syllabus to delivery classroom hybrid or online to assessment to evaluation Teach assigned Graphic Design courses using Adobe CC Convey knowledge and skills effectively to students Continue professional development as an educator Use advanced technologies to expand student resources and learning opportunities Use LMS and other technology to enhance instruction to submit grades and to use email effectively Assess student learning according to best practices in measurement of student performance objectives and outcomes Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in pedagogical approaches to a diverse population of students and peers All instructors must submit to the college documentation of their courses for assessment and verification of student engagement Minimum Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master of Fine Arts Degree with Graphic Design as its focus Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with students and colleagues Ability to contribute to a dynamic teachinglearning environment requiring adaptability creativity and teamwork Willingness to teach at multi campus locations and satellite sites Competencies PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Higher education teaching experience Adobe Creative Suite Reports To Chair of Department of Art Art History and Design Campus Location Multi Campus Locations Full timePart time Part Time Shift Days and Additional Work Schedule Information Work Schedule One Semester Benefits SalaryHourly Rate Additional Salary Information Licenses Tools and Equipment Environmental Conditions Desired Start Date Position End Date if temporary or grant
