The Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) is a division of the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU). As the nation's oldest and one of the most prestigious research universities, Johns Hopkins offers high-quality master's degrees and post-baccalaureate education to students in the mid-Atlantic region and online. In addition to the online programs, AAP also offers master's degrees and graduate certificate programs at its Washington, DC Center and at the Homewood campus in Baltimore, MD. AAP has approximately 18,000 enrollments each academic year. Position Description:
The Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) division seeks non-tenure track adjunct faculty to teach in the Digital Communication, Public and Media Relations, Corporate and Non-profit, Health Communication, and Political Communication concentrations. The instructor will teach online or on campus at our Hopkins Bloomberg Center, located at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC. Of particular interest are candidates who have experience teaching and engaging students from diverse backgrounds.
Minimum Qualifications: A successful candidate would ideally be able to begin teaching in August 2022.
+ A Master's degree in Communication or in a relevant field, such as Journalism and Media Studies
+ Professional and/or scholarly experience in Communication
+ One year of college-level teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ A Ph.D. or terminal degree in Communication or in a relevant field, such as Journalism and Media Studies
+ The background to teach a wide variety of courses in Communication
+ The ability to teach both on campus and online courses
Salary: $7,210
The position will remain open until filled.

Job Type: Part Time
The listed salary range represents the minimum and maximum Johns Hopkins University offers for this position, based on a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, market conditions, education, and internal equity. Not all candidates will qualify for the highest salary in the range.
