Adjunct Faculty Environmental Studies and Sciences JOB SUMMARY: The Environmental Studies and Sciences program at Adelphi University invites applications for a part time faculty member beginning January 2025. We seek applicants who have completed, or are working toward, a Ph.D. in a STEM field focused on environmental or Earth sciences, with demonstrated teaching and research experience in ecological systems, climate change, marine science, or natural resource management. RESPONSIBILITIES: + The candidate will teach one or more sections of an introductory lecture course on natural sciences and environmental problems. + The candidate may also teach future undergraduate or graduate courses in Marine Sciences or other areas of specific interest. QUALIFICATIONS: + Minimum of Master’s degree is required at the time of appointment. + A Ph.D. and teaching experience in a STEM or related field is preferred.
