Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - Physics Campus: Vancouver, British Columbia Canada Department: Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics-Metro Hiring Manager: Adam Rudder Hiring Manager Title: Program Coordinator College: Becton College Position Type: Faculty Grade: Adjunct FLSA: Exempt Faculty Rank: Adjunct Faculty Salary: 10466.67 CAD Status: Part-Time Months Worked: No Response Job Summary: FDU’s new adjunct hire will teach introductory physics courses and labs, primarily algebra-based General Physics I.· Teach and manage introductory physics course and lab, primarily algebra-based General Physics I.· 4 contact hours of lecturing and 3 contact hours of lab.· Develop course materials including syllabi, lecture notes, and lab manuals.· Assess student performance through exams, quizzes, and assignments.· Hold regular online office hours.· Collaborate with faculty to ensure curriculum consistency and quality.· Utilize educational technology and online platforms to enhance teaching and learning.
Where applicable, adjuncts are required to maintain and/or provide licensure and certifications. Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in physics or mathematics. Experience working with racialized students and staff from a range of language and cultural backgrounds. Ability to work as a team player in diverse and inclusive working environment.
