The incumbent will identify potential job opportunities, internships, and skills required to perform these duties and will design curriculum to accommodate these learning objectives. The instructor must be able to meet the academic support needs of students with exceptionalities; assist in adjusting curriculum to meet the individual needs of the students; administer diagnostic assessments and course tests; develop lesson plans; provide written and electronic evaluations of students; mentor students; and participate in all activities directly related to the objectives of the program. **75% Teaching** + Teach face-to-face and online classes. + Develop, modify, and implement curriculum for PSE classes. + Administer, score, and interpret various vocational assessments. + Assess and evaluate student progress. + Coordinate student transition from workforce training to employment. + Counsel and instruct students in matters such as vocational choices, job readiness, job retention skills and behaviors. + Establish and enforce classroom management structure and rules that ensure academic engagement, as well as physical and mental safety of all students. **20% Administrative** + Assist students in applying for jobs and accompany students to employment interviews. + Assist director and transition specialists with conducting interviews for PSE enrollment. + Work closely with paraprofessionals and transition specialists to insure implementation of instructional strategies on the job site as well as in the classroom. + Develop work opportunities that allow students to experience success in performing tasks of increasing difficulty and reaching work values and goals. + Collaborate with potential employers to increase partnerships that are willing to adapt work environments to the special needs of students. + Facilitate field trips that enable students to learn about job activities and to explore work environments. **5% Other duties as assigned** Benefits for unclassified employees are determined by the individual hiring authority.
