Job Overview

UC Clermont College is seeking applications for an adjunct clinical instructor in the Surgical Technology program beginning in the upcoming academic term. Duties of the position include: conducting on-site evaluations of students in surgical procedures, completing detailed reports regarding student performance, providing feedback and coaching to clinical students, maintaining compliance with all program accreditation requirements.

 

Appointments are renewed based upon departmental need, enrollments, and teaching performance. Rank and compensation are based on experience and academic credentials.

Essential Functions On a part-time basis, conduct and teach assigned undergraduate courses. Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities. Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Associate degree in Surgical Technology Current status as a Certified Surgical Technologist or Certified Surgical First Assistant Three (3) years clinical experience. Must have clinical privileges at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center Additional Qualifications Considered Bachelor’s degree in an Allied Health Field Current status as a Certified Surgical Technologist or Certified Surgical First Assistant Five (5) years clinical experience and/or two years college-level teaching/precepting experience in Surgical Technology program. Must have clinical privileges at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center Additional Application Information
