The Adjunct Instructor is committed to equity diversity and inclusion and advises and supervises master’s degree candidates actively participates in faculty collaborative learning and demonstrates scholarly productivity. Responsibilities Teaches graduate courses in the Touro College GSE Bilingual Advanced Teacher Certification Program (on campus and online)May supervise candidates during clinical practiceProvides academic advisement to program candidatesServes as an instructional leader facilitating and participating with collaborative faculty teams course revisions and developing and sustaining the transformative pedagogy in graduate teaching and learningSupports and contributes to program level continuous improvement for national/professional accreditationUpholds the missions and values of Touro College and the GSE Qualifications

Education
Master’s degree required terminal degree (Ed.D or Ph.D) preferred in Bilingual Education or related education field
Experience
Successful classroom teaching experience K-12 of diverse studentsSuccessful graduate-level teaching experience face-to-face and onlineSuccessful experience supervising degree candidates in clinical field placements if assigned for clinical supervisionSuccessful leadership experience
Knowledge/Skills/Adbilities
Excellent communication teaching and interpersonal/intercultural skills across a wide range of mediums (including social media)Proficiency in online learning platforms including Canvas Adobe Connect Zoom and other digital mediaProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel Power Point OutlookStrong Bilingual education expertise in urban areasCommitment to culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogyTravel
Occasional travel to Program Meetings at Touro College locations.
