The Department of Communication Studies at Tarleton State University is looking to expand its pool of applicants for potential adjunct faculty positions to support instructional needs at our residential campus in Stephenville, Texas. We seek Masters and/or Doctoral qualified candidates to teach undergraduate face-to-face courses in the following areas: Speech Communication, Journalism, or related disciplines.
Interested candidates must apply online and submit a cover letter identifying their area/discipline of teaching interest, resume, and copies of unofficial transcripts (which identify the 18 graduate hours necessary to teach in the discipline) with the application.
Salary: Commensurate with Qualifications and Course Level
Required Education/Experience: Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in the discipline or a closely related area and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline. Online courses are delivered via Blackboard and candidates for these positions should have experience with this or a similar course management system.
Preferred Education/Experience: An earned doctorate in the discipline (or closely related field) with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching area(s). Prior college teaching experience and appropriate professional certifications and/or licenses are a plus.
