Job Title Adjunct Instructor - Criminal Justice Agency Texas A&M University - Texarkana Department CASE - Criminal Justice Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location Texarkana, Texas Job Type Faculty Job Description The College of Arts and Sciences (CASE) occasionally has openings for part-time adjunct instructors appointed on a per semester basis. Applying for a part-time teaching appointment in Criminal Justice adds applicants to a pool which is available to the department for selection as needed for Summer 2023, Fall 2024, Spring 25 and/or Summer 2025. Minimum educational requirements for undergraduate level courses: Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in the teaching discipline. Degree and coursework must be obtained from a regionally accredited institution. Minimum educational requirements for graduate level courses: Doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline, or closely related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in the teaching discipline. Degree and coursework must be obtained from a regionally accredited institution. Duties: Required to teach Criminal Justice course(s) in one or more of the following modalities: Face-to-face, web-enhanced, hybrid, or online. Possible courses may include Police and Community Relations, Administration and Management of Criminal Justice Agencies, and Rights of the Accused and Convicted offender. Courses may be conducted as 8-week term, or 16-week term. Must coordinate course administrative duties such as, but not limited to, grading student work, loading all course content, such as assessments and lecture modules, meeting with students, submitting grades in a timely manner, meeting census and grade deadlines, and additional administrative duties as needed. Compensation: $2,400 per undergraduate section taught with a master’s degree; $2,900 per undergraduate section taught with a Ph D.
