Adjunct Instructor Early Childhood Care and Education

Employment Terms: This job is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position in the Public & Professional Services Division that reports to the Program Director – Early Childhood Education and Care.

Salary – Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum bases on contact hours taught.

Minimum Requirements (Job Code 10317) – Doctorate or Master's degree in discipline OR Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in discipline.

Preferred Qualifications – Instructor/Teaching Certificate; any applicable certificate and/or training.  Minimum of two years in field plus experience teaching at postsecondary level. 

Job Description - Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab course material. Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for ECCE courses. Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Utilizes and updates LMS platform with content and student grades regularly. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately. Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts. If offered a position, employees in this department must complete the Hazardous Materials Training as well as the Bloodborne & Airborne Pathogen training annually.
