Adjunct Faculty Requirements:

Maintain direct and proactive contact with student advisees. This includes meeting with individuals as well as small groups on an ongoing basis to build rapport, identify barriers to success, set, and review (and revise when necessary) academic and career goals, participate in pertinent student success activities (i.e. New Student Orientation, campus-wide student engagement activities) and develop action plans for related success with a focus on student persistence to graduation.

Convey to and discuss with students, the necessary aspects of curriculum, course sequencing, academic status, registration, and the importance of long-term career and academic planning. Assist students with registration/provide guidance in course selection to assure optimal (following the prescribed approach) course sequencing to best assure student persistence to graduation.

Monitor academic progress of students; analyzes progress reports from instructors and registrar; identifies current and potential needs or problem areas and refers students to appropriate campus and outside community resources for assistance; communicates findings to deans.

Document all pertinent student information (i.e. attendance); updates student information system regarding changes to student status and support all key departmental operations including tracking statistics, retention assessment proper file documentation to ensure that retention initiatives and goals are obtained.

Work collaboratively with other departments, to assure that student challenges and needs are addressed and managed.

 

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in an allied health field required and a current national recognized certification or valid license. Examples: MT, RT, RN, MSN, MD, DC, etc.

Clinical classes can have a BS with license (RN or MT).

 

Adjuncts sign a contract with the Dean at the beginning of each term that outlines the class, contact hours, the dates and time of class.  Campus based classes are 15 weeks and are paid bi-monthly over an 8-paycheck time frame.  The class has a salary range $825.00-$2,300.00 

 

 

Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate of the base pay for this position. The selected candidate’s actual base pay for this role will take into account a wide range of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At Bryant & Stratton College, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Information about the total compensation package for this position will be provided during the interview process.
