The Department of Psychiatry's Administrative Support team is seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant Intermediate to offer administrative support to a select group of faculty members within our Department.

In this role, you'll be the primary admin support person for a group of faculty within the Department of Psychiatry. You'll use your keen attention to detail, ability to problem-solve, and high quality communication skills to provide excellent customer service to handle select responsibilities on behalf of faculty members in a sensitive manner. Your day to day tasks will include: 

Maintain complex calendars, schedule meetings and other appointments using Microsoft Office, Gmail, and Zoom. Assist with meeting logistics, including scheduling, security meeting spaces, preparing meeting materials, tracking action items, and generating all necessary follow-up correspondences to ensure work is completed as appropriate. Coordinate travel arrangements for faculty on domestic and international meetings and conferences while adhering to Michigan Medicine travel guidelinese. Submit reimbursements via Shared Services in a timely manner for faculty and staff. Assist faculty with the completion of renewing memberships, licenses, and certifications. Maintain faculty curriculum vitae (CVs) in Elements. Assist in the preparation of various documents including Biosketches, PowerPoint presentations, etc. Perform general office duties (e.g. preparing outgoing mail, photocopying, and printing documents). Provide back-up coverage for other administrative assistance as neededOther responsibilities as assigned. Required Qualifications*High School Diploma or GED. Two or more years of relevant professional experience. Proficient computer skills and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and teleconferencing software (e.g. MS Office, Zoom, etc.). Desired Qualifications*

Familiarity with University of Michigan policies and procedures. Strong oral and written communication skills.Skill building productive and positive relationships with individuals regardless of professional level (faculty, staff, student, etc.). A flexible and can-do attitude. The ability to work both independently and part of a team.  Work Schedule

This position is a full time role. Typical shifts will be eight hour workdays Monday through Friday. This role is eligible for a hybrid work structure, with 2-3 days each week taking place onsite.

This role is eligible for a Hybrid work structure. In person activities will be based out of Ann Arbor, MI.

Background Screening
