The salary range for this position is $20.51 - $25.64 (Hourly Rate)

Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

Hours: 7a - 7p with an every third weekend rotation

The Admin Tech/Phlebotomist performs unit-based reception, clerical, and medical record functions.

Responsibilities:

Is customer oriented and able to communicate with all levels of staff, patients and their families.Serves as liaison between patient care units and all other departments.Assists patients with activities of daily living. Performs duties and responsibilities that fall into their standards of performance and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

Required:

Minimum experience must encompass (1) of the following:Current Student in a relevant field of study, Medical Assistant, Paramedic,   EMT-B, or CNA High school graduate or equivalentHealthcare/Basic medical terminology.Basic computer knowledge.Ability to communicate effectively in English, both
verbally and in writing.Ability to assess and determine situations requiring an interpreter
and to use interpreter services effectively.Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred:

Additional languages preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology.
