Summary:
The person in this role will be a passionate Agilist, and will be accountable for identifying and resolving scrum team impediments to accomplishing product deliverables in a fast-paced organization.
Responsibilities:
+ Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospective and sprint demos
+ Assist the product management team with keeping the backlog groomed
+ Work closely with QA and the product owner to ensure that all user stories are verified before the end of the sprint, and ensure that the team’s actions are always aligned with the acceptance criteria and project goals (vision)
+ Ensure that the user stories in the backlog are prioritized and estimated, which includes scheduling and facilitating the sprint/release planning sessions.
+ Facilitate the removal of any obstacles that the team itself can’t resolve, working with stakeholders inside and outside Technology
+ Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing
+ Track the team’s velocity, understand the deltas between sprints, and react accordingly
+ Interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational level.
Requirements:
+ Level of formal education: BA degree or combination of relevant education and experience
+ Area of Study: MUST have 2+ years of Scrum Master experience. Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
+ Certified Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance. Must be current certification. PMI-ACP or CSP is a plus
