Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an Administrative Assistant (Project – Facilities Coordinator) to support the Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment at the Orange, VA location. Responsibilities include but not limited to proactively organizing calendar schedules, coordinating meetings, ​​​​​​​supporting waste disposal/recycling, escorting/badging visitors and coordinating inspections on the facility

Essential Functions:

Project/Facilities Coordinator SOW:

Badging, Access and Security

BMcD will submit names and forms to Aerojet to process badging

Security briefings as needed

Daily access through Construction Gate from 6 AM to 6 PM on weekdays

Periodic inspection through the Main Gate

Fulfill periodic requests for weekend work.  Advance notice from BMcD required

Additional parameters as identified in the project security plan​​​​​​​

Safety and Incident Communication

BMcD will notify Aerojet if a potential OSHA recordable takes place.

Aerojet should notify BMcD if there are plant events or drills that would require evacuation or otherwise

Suggest BMcD superintendent possess a plant radio

Photographs

BMcD would like to take photos with a basic digital camera and send or drop off the memory card with Aerojet to approve

BMcD or Aerojet could then upload approved photos to Procore or similar

Coordinate QA/QC documentation, as required

Site Coordination

Waste Disposal Tickets, Recycling Tickets, and Excess Spoils tracking submission as required

Facility Impact Requests for Outage/Tie In coordination

Coordinate Fire Water and Domestic Water tie in

Confirmation of latest “as built” drawings and any “tribal knowledge” to support

Aerojet may periodically want to witness some quality testing on site

Permits, Inspections and Quality handled by BMcD or separate Third Party

Coordinate SWPPP inspections

Coordinate Construction Third Party Inspections

Coordinate Orange County for Land Disturbance and Building Permit Inspections

Coordinate Construction Quality Assurance, as required

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years prior administrative experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 2 years prior Administrative experience

2+ years experience in managing administrative duties for a business office or small team

2+ years experience with Microsoft Office Tools, to include Excel

Preferred Additional Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication

Driven and resourceful to manage own workload, with flexibility to prioritize and deliver against deadlines with minimal supervision
