Provides professional administrative support to the Department of Academic Affairs. Utilizes advanced computer skills to prepare professional documents.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Associate degree preferred, or equivalent experience.EXPERIENCE:
Five year’s experience in providing support as an administrative assistant preferred.COMPETENCIES:
Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills. Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and willingness to learn new programs. Strong attention to detail. Mature attitude and judgment; responsible; professional demeanor and appearance, patient and flexible. Flexible schedule. Ability to work with and communicate well with physicians and other professionals. Consistently demonstrate ECHN’s Core Values: Teamwork, Respect and Communication through a commitment to Caring. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required for travel between ECHN campuses and conferences.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in preparing documents for accreditation surveys. Type correspondence, letters, minutes, policies and procedures, newsletters, etc. Screens, refers, and intercedes as appropriate, incoming calls/visitors to the department to facilitate accurate and efficient departmental communication. Schedules appointments, meetings and interviews. Assist residents in coordination of didactic lectures. Facilitates initial and reappointment of faculty appointments and track expiration. Assist in preparing/collecting documents for student/resident onboarding and orientation. Provide support to coordinators when planning department events. Collect and track evaluations. Attend meetings, prepare agendas, provide minutes and maintain didactic materials in a professional and timely manner. Assists in gathering content for departmental website and marketing materials. Orders office supplies. Periodic travel to affiliate campuses required as well as coordinating travel arrangements for DIO, Director of Academic Affairs, Program Directors and Residency Coordinators. Performs other duties, as assigned to promote the efficient functioning of Academic Affairs.
