Reporting to the Senior Assistant to the Dean, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for delivering a high level of customer service, administrative support, and human resources support to students, guests, and employees.
The general salary range for this position is $47,000 - $53,000, with eligibility to participate in the school's 2025 merit program. An offer may be extended outside of this range based on equity, experience, knowledge, and skills for the position. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor understanding and transparency throughout the recruiting process. A comprehensive benefits package is included.
This is a full-time, onsite position. The workplace is the U-M School of Kinesiology, located at 830 N University Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48109. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; there will be dean's suite events and meetings that will require earlier arrivals (as early as 7:00am) and later departures (as late as 5:30pm).

Serve as the first contact at the dean's suite reception desk. Welcome and support visitors, students, faculty, and staff. Provide information, directions, and handle inquiries. Manage mail and ensure the reception area is tidy and stocked.Administrative Support:
Assist the Senior Assistant to the Dean with meeting setups, ordering refreshments, and other tasks. Support the Manager of Events and Alumni Engagement with name tags and printing. Help the Senior Administrative Assistant for Finance, Development, and Operations with ordering and printing needs.Human Resources Support:
Assist the HR team with faculty candidate travel, lodging, and event coordination.Manage the temporary employee process, including hiring and onboarding. Create welcome packets for new employees. Support faculty external postings and track expenses. Schedule staff candidate interviews and update HR systems.
