Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Administrative Assistant – Anesthesia – Woodhull.

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Affiliate Administrator and Affiliate Medical Director of NYU Langone Woodhull and other related duties for related departments. Exercise independent judgment in the resolution of administrative concerns and issues as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepares and edits confidential correspondence and reports. Office management (equipment/supplies). Coordinates special events. Processes accounts payable for affiliate. Maintains Joint Oversight Committee database. Initiates requisition process for new hires. Prepares bi-weekly payroll for affiliate office staff. Assists with general human resource management actions. Assists in developing administrative procedures, standards and methods. Engages in research activities, screens telephone calls, messages, and incoming material for the attention of the affiliate administrator or for routing to other departmental personnel. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel. Ability to develop moderately sophisticated spreadsheets; set up routine computer procedures; resolve simple software/hardware problems. Ability to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to proofread documents and write clear, concise first draft. Ability to type at a speed of at least 50 net words per minute. Ability to multitask while paying attention to detail. Ability to exercise administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results. Associates Degree preferred.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $48,343.36 – $51,096.24 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
