The Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center Emerging (NGMC) of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be a self-starter capable of independent work, be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, and have the ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities. It is also critical to act with discretion and good judgment when handling or disseminating sensitive, confidential, or proprietary information.

The selected candidates will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Apply Microsoft Office products (Outlook Mail/Calendar, Excel, Word) to produce, distribute, and/or maintain correspondence, documentation, reports, and graphics.

Create, review, and process travel and expense reports for multiple employees, ensuring contents are fully compliant with corporate guidelines.

Manage multiple calendars, schedule events, reconcile scheduling conflicts, and document attendees, as needed; includes recurring All Hands, Skip-Level sessions, and other events.

Assist in event planning and activities of major organizational initiatives and reviews.  Operates independently to meet the requirements of ATL leadership team and offers expertise to assist other functions within the organization. 

Schedule meetings, including coordinating needed resources (may include meals, refreshments, and/or Information Technology (IT) equipment).

Maintain program Distribution Lists and circulate notices, as needed.

Interact with other administrative support personnel to coordinate special event planning.

Monitor office supply needs for multiple sites and as needed, use purchasing system to restock supplies.

Answer telephones and greet visitors, directing calls/visitors to proper parties and releasing and obtaining information within the scope of delegated authority.

Provides operational support for projects; researches and obtains information, helps plan and ensure follow-through of assigned tasks.

Work on-site full-time (limited work from home)

Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.

Demonstrated experience performing comparable Administrative Assistant responsibilities.

Proficiency using primary Microsoft Office products: Outlook 365 (Mail & Calendar), Excel, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Capable of working collaboratively with personnel and organizations

Ability to operate basic office equipment (copier, scanner, fax, etc.)

Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-Secondary Education

Experience supporting Executive-level Management.

Experience processing Travel Expense Reports (Concur)

Experience coordinating, documenting, and maintaining data in Excel.

Strong Excel skills, including experience with maintaining data, budget tracking, financial analysis, macros, pivot tables, and graphs.

Familiarity with SharePoint

Familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence)

Experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and alternate virtual meeting platforms.

Salary Range: $51,900.00 - $86,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
