Role Overview and Responsibilities

Introduction

Cover all duties related to the front desk and assist Human Resources with administrative duties and special projects.  Create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensure high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety.

 

Key Responsibilities

Under general supervision, assist the Human Resources Department with various duties to help ensure the department operates efficiently and effectively.Coordinate and manage internal employee committees, with minimal supervision, for Wellness, Social, Community, and Diversity.Greet and interact professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills providing direction and resources to address needs.Assists with the planning, preparation, and coordination of logistics for on-site customer and vendor visits, as well as off-site events.Provide clerical and administrative support, collecting and analyzing information, preparing, compiling, drafting, distributing, filing, and updating correspondence, reports, employee records and general information.Maintain e-mail and phone line, answering questions and providing requested information, or referring questions to the subject matter experts.Handles, mail, outgoing and incoming; provides scanning of accounting  mail to Shared Services Center on a regular basis.Monitors office supply inventory and orders supplies as needed.Provides assistance to various departments (i.e., Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, Accounting), as needed.Other duties as required and/or assigned. Desirable Skills and Experience

GED or High School diploma preferred, but not required.1-2 years administrative assistant experience a plus.Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite required.Ability to juggle multiple projects/tasks at any given time.Excellent written and verbal skills to interact with a wide audience of internal and external customers is required.Excellent time-management and organizational skills.Occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds could be required.This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).  All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.  ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S.Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
