Administrative Assistant
Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous and organized Administrative Assistant for our client in the Non-Profit industry, based in New Orleans, Louisiana. As an Administrative Assistant, you will engage in a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, supporting our team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Carry out administrative support activities such as maintaining files and central records, coordinating printing and duplication services, and managing the procurement of supplies and equipment • Handle routine paperwork and data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail • Develop and implement procedures and guidelines related to the filing or imaging of documents • Compile information from various sources to prepare specialized reports as needed while adhering to department standards • Compose, edit, and proofread routine correspondence as directed • Manage and organize appointment calendars and book meeting rooms, ensuring effective time management • Assist in coordinating and executing special projects within the department • Responsible for scheduling conferences and meetings, recording and distributing meeting minutes • Handle incoming visitors and clients, discerning the nature of their business, and directing them to the appropriate staff • Answer, screen, and route all incoming telephone calls, answering routine questions or transferring calls to the appropriate staff • Carry out other administrative duties as assigned Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word • Experience with Correspondence • Proficiency in Data Entry • Familiarity with Purging processes • Experience with Filing systems • Ability to work in a non-profit industry • Proven administrative or assistant experience • Strong organizational and planning skills • Ability to work well under limited supervision • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • High level of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive information • Strong problem-solving skills and detail oriented • Ability to multitask and prioritize work • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures Robert Half puts you in the best position to succeed by advocating on your behalf and promoting you to employers.
