Administrative Assistant
Description We are offering an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Ashveville, North Carolina. This role will entail managing office communications, assisting with event coordination, and supporting HR activities, among other tasks. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Accurately route voicemails to the appropriate departments and manage communication channels. • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from various channels. • Oversee office and kitchen supplies, ensuring they are always adequately stocked. • Collaborate with the facilities manager to promptly address any office issues. • Handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and discretion. • Actively participate in the planning and coordination of company events. • Proactively assist the HR department in various activities as needed. • Exhibit initiative in performing tasks and in contributing to team objectives. • Play an active role in employee engagement activities. • Utilize Microsoft suites & SharePoint software for various tasks including data entry, email correspondence, and scheduling appointments. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Experience in answering inbound and outbound calls professionally and courteously • Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing prompt and friendly service • Ability to perform data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail • Excellent skills in email correspondence, ensuring clear and effective communication • Ability to schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively • Good written and verbal communication skills • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus.
